Passive intermodulation analysers
Anritsu Company presents the first high power battery passive intermodulation test solution (PIM) for the main standard wireless networks in use worldwide. PIM is a form of interference generated by passive components that are normally considered linear as connectors, cable sets, filters and antennas. However, when subjected to high levels of RF power found in systems, these devices can generate spurious signals that increase the receiver's noise floor and reduce site performance.
The Master PIM accurately measures the performance of PIM by injecting two CW test tones into the antenna power network and by recording the magnitude of the third, fifth or seventh order intermodulation products that fall into the system reception band. The MW82119A can perform the following measurements, allowing test technicians to quickly find and remove the PIM problems found at the cell site:
- PIM versus Time
- Noise Floor
- Swept PIM
- Distance-to-PIM ™ (DTP)
